Giving back to the Community - Grounded Governance

Giving – back, forward and in every direction

December is the month when both gratitude and the opportunity to help others come together.

So far this month the Grounded team have given our time and energy to:

  • A “for purpose” board who were keen on some governance training and a reset on their board responsibilities. We had fun (yes even on Zoom!) and all learned a lot.
  • Visiting clients elsewhere inTe Waipounamu – so fortunate to be able to work together in person.
  • Supporting several people who have current, significant governance challenges to grapple with. The struggle is real around board tables, and it is great to be able to lend a hand, and ear, in these times.
  • Our free online session called #askusanything – an hour each month for people to ask any question they need to about governance, and to get an answer – and maybe even some next steps.

Grounded has chosen to donate to two local foodbanks this year – we are proud to have both organisations as clients, and to support them in this way when they need help.

Others have also helped our business to grow – for their time, loyalty and energy I am very grateful. We’ve been lucky this year. Lucky to have our health, financial resilience, great work and a professional team, and a future to look forward to.

Here’s to 2022 – another year to have a positive impact on the health of businesses and people across Aotearoa New Zealand. Looking forward to it.
