At Grounded Governance, we’re committed to integrating sustainability into the heart of our business, and we’re continuously evolving our practices to make a lasting impact. From the way we operate day-to-day to the long-term effects we seek to make; our goal is to create a business that not only reduces its environmental footprint but actively contributes to a healthier planet, ensuring that our practices evolve as we grow.
We’ve made important strides already. Our electric vehicles, solar-powered office, and locally grown organic food are just the beginning. We have planted thousands of native trees, and we’re constantly finding new ways to integrate sustainability into every facet of our business. But we know there’s more we can do, and we’re actively working on it.
Aligning with the UN Sustainable Development Goals
Our approach to sustainability is aligned with the global framework provided by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These goals address some of the world’s most pressing challenges, from climate action to responsible consumption. Grounded Governance’s work links directly to specific SDGs, ensuring that our impact reaches beyond our business to contribute to a more sustainable future.
Honouring the Rich History of Aotearoa
Our commitment to sustainability extends beyond environmental efforts. We are dedicated to preserving the rich culture and history of Aotearoa by raising the language education of our team. Incorporating Te Reo Māori and Māori cultural values into our work is new for us, but it’s something we believe is essential for the future. By embracing Te Reo and fostering deeper connections to Aotearoa’s heritage, we aim to support a sustainable cultural legacy as well.
Looking Ahead
Sustainability is not a fixed goal for us—it’s a continuous journey. We will continue to explore innovative ways to reduce our footprint, nurture Papatūānuku, and support the sustainable growth of businesses across New Zealand.
